Yuri is one of those neighborhood sushi spots that's easy to keep in the rotation, even if it's not exactly rewriting the sushi playbook. The location is convenient, the dining room stays busy, and it's a solid option when you're craving sushi without making a trek across town. I dined in and tried the Lion King Roll and Crunch Roll. Both were enjoyable, with fresh ingredients and good portions, but neither delivered that "I can't stop thinking about this tomorrow" kind of experience. The Lion King was nicely baked, and the Crunch Roll brought plenty of texture, but overall the food landed in the good-not-great category. Service was friendly and the food came out at a reasonable pace despite the crowd. Prices are a little on the high side for what you get, but not enough to scare me away. Yuri isn't the sushi equivalent of a mic drop, but it's a dependable neighborhood spot that gets the job done when the sushi craving strikes.

Everything about this meal was so satisfying. The sushi rolls were super fresh, perfectly balanced, and generously filled—the salmon was buttery, the avocado creamy, and the tempura added the perfect crunch. The bento box was just as impressive, with crispy tempura, flavorful chicken, and a fresh salad that tied everything together. The rice was fluffy, the sauces weren’t overpowering, and every bite tasted intentional and well-made. Pairing it all with hot tea and miso soup made the experience feel complete. Definitely one of those meals where you leave full and happy—can’t wait to come back.

The chicken Teriyaki Lunch Bento box(Called the Ichiban) here is an amazing deal for $16.50! Order it Togo or for dine in and see the generous amount of food that is given. I'm adding this wonderful mom and pop restaurant to my weekly takeout lunch list. Thank You Yuri's team and I will see you next week.

Great food great service they keep it old-school, but only the best ways. Really fresh and friendly people. The place has an old-school decor if you're on the east side of San Jose it needs sushi. Here should be the only place you come to.

WOW! The rolls here are THICK. The fish was superbly fresh. I sat at their sushi chef's window bar and these guy's knives here are so freaking sharp. Two house specialty rolls were enough to filled me up for the night but I'm coming back to see you again Chef Danny! Thank You!
